Having a thin body has a tremendous impact on the quality of life. When we are overweight, our bodies have to carry around extra weight. This can lead to chronic pain and an increased risk for developing many diseases.
It’s important to understand that weight loss isn’t about being smaller or fitting into smaller clothes, but about feeling healthier and living longer.
Less common effects of healthy fat loss are:

But when it comes to losing fat, where do you lose fat first?
You may not be able to control where you burn fat through a hike, but you can make sure you exercise enough to lose weight. How the body loses fat depends on gender, genetics and body shape, explains exercise physiologist Brooke Norgate. But where do you lose fat first?
Lifting heavy weights in certain areas (instance training such as the lower body) can increase muscle size, but it doesn't make much difference whether subcutaneous fat sits on it. It is impossible to lose fat from certain areas of the body without losing fat from other parts of the body. Losing weight from all over your body will help you reduce fat from your target areas.
When you lose weight, the fat dissolves on your body like layers of onions. When you start losing weight you will notice a big difference in which areas of your body contain more fat. The areas where you first gained fat lose fat first, and these are the areas that are most likely to lose pounds.
The general pattern of fat loss gives you an indication of when you should first lose fat, depending on your body fat percentage, gender and genetics. But before we dig ourselves in, we should know that the order in which fat loss is best for the body depends on you and you cannot change it.
Genetics may play a role in whether one loses weight or gains weight in different parts of the body, but it is not as important as many people think. While some people believe that the calories they consume go straight into their thighs and form a line for their belly fat, the reality is that the only way to gain body fat in any area of your body is to consume more calories than burn (also known as excess calories ).
Everyone Carries Fat Differently
In fact, every person carries fat in different parts of his body (that is, we all carry fat differently). One person can carry most of their body fat in their midsection, while another person can carry most of the fat in their hips. However, genetics can influence the way your body stores fat and what fat looks like on your body.
In a large global study of more than 2,500 participants, male participants tended to eat a lower calorie diet and lose more weight than female participants. Research has also shown that men tend to lose weight in the trunk area whereas women tend to lose weight in the hips.
Dr Block says weight loss is less about the natural shape of the body and more about genetics, how hormones work and metabolism. Men primarily lose weight from the abdomen, while women tend to lose weight by keeping it in their thighs and hips, she explains. But, she adds, you don't have to choose one particular area to focus on when it comes to weight loss.
Follow a regular exercise routine and eat a healthy diet, and you will notice a difference in your body weight over time. Although people do not lose weight in the same way, there is a general difference in fat loss between men and women. Both can lose weight, depending on the type of fat they contain, childbearing factors and thanks to Mother Nature.
Where do Men Lose Weight First?
Most people think that when they start losing weight, it will come from the part of the body where they keep the most body fat. But when men lose weight, according to a study, they tend to let it fall off their torsos. Usually, men's weight loss area is furthest away from your core and stomach, which first sheds fat.
This means that the area on the face, feet, legs and arms where you first lose fat is the place where the guys notice that you are female (for those who read this it is the opposite of what I said above, so pay attention to order if you are female). When the weight goes first on the breasts, as is the case with many women, you will notice that it leaves the breast first.
If, on the other hand, you are like me and have a pear shape and carry more weight in your hips and thighs because you carry extra weight all over your body, then you will see a little weight released from your hips, thighs and derriere, but you will not notice it. What is noticeable is when you start to detach from your head, as hips and legs are the last places where you lose weight. If you tend to hold on to your hips or thighs when you've reached your desired weight, you can expect to lose weight first in the head.
On the one hand, it is the first place where most men accumulate fat, where they gain weight at the first places where they lose fat, and where they lose it, so it is easy to lose weight and just walk away. It's not me losing fat from my legs and buttocks that's not going to do anything for me, but it's going to make you more patient when the weight falls off your face in the other place you want. At most 10-15% of body fat is belly fat, which can become stubborn.
According to our experts, the reason why you gain weight in the midsection (not in the calves or forearms) is that fat cells (fat cells that occur throughout the body) in the hips, buttocks, abdomen and thighs are more common in women than in men's stomachs. Women are more likely to have fat in their hips, thighs, buttocks and stomach. F-Factor creator Tanya Zuckerbrot, MS, RD and best-selling author of the F-Factor Diet, describes gender-specific fat as "stubborn fat" which serves as energy for the demands of pregnancy and lactation.
According to Dr Ali, our genes control where we keep body fat, which means they also control when we lose fat. In general, she says, women tend to lose fat along their lower body, around their hips, buttocks and legs (see saddlebag) (see). On the other hand, men tend to store more fat in the abdomen (see Bigger Difference), where they lose weight.
Spot Reduction and Losing Fat
Spot reduction is not a myth. The myth was that you could spot reduce fat by doing various workouts targeting a specific area of your body.
If you really want to lose fat in general, then you should eat healthy and exercise regularly. If you want to focus on a particular area of your body, then it is not impossible, but it’s much more complicated and difficult to do it through spot reduction alone. You would need to work out that area at least twice as much as any other muscle group. That means for every set of workouts for the rest of your body, you would need to do two sets for the target muscles group that you want to reduce fat in.
